‘The seeds of ‘Castawaydivers’ were sown during a dive trip to Malta in 1997. Myself and Dave ‘Swamp’ Warren, not only did we dive to the limits of our abilities but we also played hard outside of the diving, something our dive branch did not (and could not being a youth branch) do. Over the next few years we did trips to Gibralter (three times), Tenerife (twice), Corfu and Jersey, each time the numbers coming with us increased, they too enjoying the mix of diving and extreme fun, particularly in the night time excursions to the local hostelries.

It was in Tenerife in September 2005 during our first ‘Wig Night’ that ‘Castawaydivers’ was officially brought into being.

We are not an official branch of any dive organisation, nor shall we ever be, this means we do not have a committee, nor do we ever want one.
‘Castawaydivers mandate was to make sure all aspects of our Dive trips were FUN!

The events and diving we take part in are not always what could be termed ordinary, and not always to the book, we don’t dive deep necessarily, but some of our ideas do tend to take us sideways of normal at times.
